Our closest supermarket is nearly 3 hours away, so Tatla residents spend a considerable amount of time and energy on food planning. Gardening, fishing, farming, hunting... baking and preserving.

local gardens
Produce from local gardens is abundant in the summer months. Some of the vegetables are sold locally, at the farmer's market or by dropping in to see what's available. And the rest is pickled, jammed, or otherwise preserved in preparation for the long winter season.
Selma & doug
Selma grows lots of potatoes... and beets, and cabbage, and also that beautiful purple kohlrabi. Her vegetables are available for purchase; stop by the garden or contact her to find out what's in season.
